Driver Charged After Bronx Man Was Killed on Cross Bronx Service Road
Police said Enisman Jalloh, 22, left after allegedly hitting Brandon Jose De La Cruz, 20, at the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road and Ellis Avenue, where the official record says one pedestrian was killed.

A crossing near Ellis Avenue ended in a fatal crash
The official record says one pedestrian, a 20-year-old man, was killed at the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road and Ellis Avenue at about 6:05 p.m. on Nov. 30, 2025.
The Daily News, citing police, identified the victim as Brandon Jose De La Cruz and reported that he was crossing the service road when Enisman Jalloh, who was in the westbound lane, allegedly hit him and drove off. Medics took De La Cruz to Jacobi Medical Center, where he died.

Relatives described Brandon Jose De La Cruz as full of life
Relatives told News 12 Bronx, as quoted by the Daily News, that De La Cruz was on his way to the gym when he was hit. Rommer Jose, identified as his uncle, said at a small vigil that the family had been devastated and called Brandon a good kid, full of life.
The official record lists a westbound Honda SUV
The official record lists one involved vehicle: a 2007 Honda SUV with one occupant, traveling west and going straight ahead before the crash. The record lists center-front impact and left-front-bumper damage.
The Daily News reported that police described Jalloh as the driver and said he was in the westbound lane before he allegedly hit De La Cruz.
Months later, police made an arrest
The Daily News reported that police arrested Jalloh after a prolonged investigation and charged him with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and tampering with evidence. Police sources told the paper that Jalloh got rid of his SUV after the crash in an effort to mislead investigators.
Court records cited by the Daily News said Jalloh was arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court and released after posting $10,000 bail.
