West Side Spirit reported that Janusz Gregory Gorzynski was born in Warsaw in 1940, survived the Nazi occupation and entered medical school after arriving in the United States at age 27. He worked on the Psychiatry Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and later had a private practice on the Upper East Side.
In retirement, he volunteered at the Monday night hospitality program at All Souls Church on Lexington Avenue and supported philanthropic causes, West Side Spirit reported.
The driver remained, and investigators continued their work.
