A Driver Turning Left Collided With a Motorcyclist Who Died.

Published accounts describe different approaches.

The official record places the crash at 4:38 a.m. on June 2, 2026, at Arthur Kill Road and Armstrong Avenue. It lists the sedan driver as traveling south and making a left turn, and the motorcycle as traveling east.

The June 7 Daily News report, citing police, said Yulfo and the Ford driver were heading in opposite directions on Arthur Kill Road. Its June 2 report placed Yulfo on Armstrong Avenue and described a head-on collision near Arthur Kill Road. The Union Star instead described both as traveling on Arthur Kill Road, with Yulfo eastbound and the Ford westbound. These reports give different accounts of Yulfo’s approach.

Reports differ on the motorcycle’s model year.

The official record identifies a 2017 Ford Fusion and a 2006 Harley-Davidson 883. The June 7 Daily News account also gives 2006 for the Harley-Davidson, while The Union Star describes it as a 2007 model.

Yulfo’s family remembered his work and character.

Yulfo was on his way to work as a Snapple deliveryman, his family told the Daily News. The paper reported that he was the youngest of six siblings, with three brothers and two sisters.

His mother, Lisa Yulfo, recalled spending time with him the day before the crash, when they cleaned his car and sang along to her playlist. She said, “He was amazing. He had a heart of gold. He had a million dollar smile.”

Police had not charged the driver as of June 7.

The June 2 Daily News report said medics took Yulfo to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he died. In its June 7 account, the paper said the 54-year-old driver remained at the scene and had not been charged while police investigated.
