George Robinson, 42, was hit around 11 p.m. on June 7 near Beach Channel Drive and Horton Avenue in Far Rockaway, according to the Daily News. The report said Robinson had stepped into the westbound lane before a 32-year-old driver in a 2017 Kia Sorento hit him. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital with a head injury and died there more than a week later. The driver stayed at the scene and was not arrested, and the NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad investigated.
