Erick Lamont Bowie, 32, worked as a driver at Interfaith Medical Center and lived with his mother, Tanya Bowe, in the NYCHA Ingersoll Houses in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, the Daily News reported.
Bowe told the Daily News, “My son didn't deserve this. I want justice for my son.” She also said she wanted the driver caught and charges pressed.
Police were still seeking the driver.
The Daily News reported that police were looking for surveillance footage to help identify the driver. In its later report, the newspaper said the driver had not been arrested.
