Two Killed After Motorcycle Rider Hits Vehicles on Grand Central

Police said a man operating a CFMoto 650 motorcycle was eastbound on the Grand Central Parkway approaching the Jackie Robinson Parkway at about 6:30 p.m. when he spun out and hit a BMW driven by a 28-year-old woman, then was involved in another impact with a Ford Explorer driven by a 39-year-old man. Both people on the motorcycle were thrown to the pavement. The driver died at the scene from severe head trauma, and the passenger died after being taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. Police said the riderless motorcycle was later involved in impacts with a Chevrolet Express van and a Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Five people in the other vehicles were evaluated by EMS, three were hospitalized with minor injuries, and police reported no arrests.

Two riders died, and others were hurt
EMS pronounced the motorcycle driver dead at the scene after he suffered severe head trauma. The passenger was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where she also died. Police said five occupants of the other vehicles were evaluated by EMS, and three were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Police described four other vehicles in the crash
Police said the first other driver was a 28-year-old woman in a white BMW, followed by a 39-year-old man driving a blue Ford Explorer. After the riders were thrown, police said the riderless motorcycle was involved in impacts with a Chevrolet Express van driven by a 37-year-old man and a Chrysler Town and Country minivan driven by a 73-year-old man.
Police reported no arrests
Police said no arrests had been made in the crash, according to the account reviewed.
