Officers responding to an assault in progress found 47-year-old Crisanie Dockery unconscious with severe head trauma and a 39-year-old man with a minor arm injury. A collision was followed by a deadly attack

Police sources told amNY the incident unfolded around 1:10 a.m. near exit 21B of the eastbound Belt Parkway. Officers from the 116th Precinct responded to a report of an assault in progress and found Crisanie Dockery unconscious and unresponsive with severe head trauma.

The same report said police sources attributed the assault to a motor vehicle collision and said a suspect attacked the men with a baseball bat.

Crisanie Dockery died at the hospital

Dockery, 47, of Springfield Gardens, was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. A 39-year-old man suffered a minor arm injury and was treated at the scene.
