Police said Detwan Hannah was riding north on Malcolm X Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m. on September 15 when a dip in the pavement threw him from his dirt bike. Keon Davis, driving a Mercedes behind him, veered into the southbound lane while trying to pass an MTA bus and struck Hannah, police said. Hannah died at Kings County Hospital. Officers arrested Davis at the scene, and he pleaded not guilty to charges including criminally negligent homicide.

Police said Hannah was riding a 2017 Kawasaki dirt bike north on Malcolm X Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m. on September 15 when a dip in the pavement threw him onto the roadway.
Davis, 28, was driving a Mercedes sedan behind Hannah in the same direction. Police said Davis veered into the southbound lane while trying to pass an MTA bus and struck Hannah. Police said Davis then ran over and dragged Hannah with the sedan.
The collision happened near Macon Street.
