   Nasir Nadim, 59, a yellow taxi driver who had just prayed at a nearby mosque, died after a Brooklyn crash involving a box truck driver near Clinton and Tillary streets about 1 PM.
   Nasir Nadim, a 59-year-old pedestrian, was fatally injured in Brooklyn on Jan. 23, 2026. The city crash record places the collision at Clinton Street and Tillary Street at about 1 p.m. and lists driver inattention or distraction as a contributing factor. Police told news outlets that Nadim was first hit near Clinton and State streets, grabbed the driver-side door of a 2019 Freightliner box truck and held on as the driver continued north before he fell near Cadman Plaza and was hit again. News reports said the driver did not remain at the scene and had not been caught as of Feb. 16. Nadim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition and died a week later.

   A driver changing lanes hit two pedestrians at Flatbush Avenue Ext and Tillary Street. Police recorded driver inattention; two passengers were hurt too.
   According to the police report, a driver was changing lanes on Flatbush Avenue Ext at Tillary Street in Brooklyn on June 3, 2026, at about 2:55 p.m. and hit two pedestrians. Police recorded driver inattention/distraction. A 58-year-old man reported pain or nausea with a knee, lower-leg or foot injury, and a 36-year-old woman had minor bleeding and an elbow, lower-arm or hand injury. Two passengers were also injured.

   On Jay Street, an SUV driver turned left and hit a 31-year-old cyclist riding straight. The rider was ejected and suffered a fractured or dislocated arm.
   According to the police report, a 38-year-old man driving a Jeep Wrangler made a left turn on Jay Street and hit a 31-year-old male bicyclist who was going straight. Police recorded “View Obstructed/Limited.” The cyclist was injured, ejected, and reported a fracture, distortion, or dislocation to the elbow, lower arm, or hand.

   A driver making a left on Atlantic Avenue hit a 49-year-old motorcyclist at Nevins Street. The rider was ejected and suffered a fractured, dislocated lower leg or foot injury.
   According to the police report, a driver in a 2015 Toyota sedan was making a left turn on Atlantic Avenue at Nevins Street in Brooklyn when the driver hit a 2024 BMW motorcycle rider who was going straight. The 49-year-old rider was ejected and reported a fracture, distortion and dislocation to the knee, lower leg or foot area.
5. Drunk driver rear-ends parked sedan 2026-05-30T05:35:00+00:00

   Before dawn on Cathedral Place, a driver hit the back of a parked sedan. Police recorded alcohol involvement and following too closely; two drivers were injured.
   According to the police report, a driver in a 2019 Mercedes GLA 250 was going straight on Cathedral Place around 5:35 a.m. and hit the back of a parked 2016 Nissan Altima. Police recorded alcohol involvement and following too closely by the Mercedes driver. A 32-year-old woman driver and a 42-year-old man driver were injured; the man had whiplash and a back injury.
