A westbound driver on the Belt Parkway rear-ended another car and injured a 38-year-old man’s neck. Police recorded driver inattention and distraction in the afternoon crash.
According to the police report, two westbound sedans on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn collided around 5:35 p.m. when a driver hit the rear of a 2018 Toyota. The 38-year-old male driver of the Toyota reported neck crush injuries and was listed as injured and conscious. Police recorded driver inattention and distraction as contributing factors.

A 27-year-old scooter rider going north on Brigham Street was ejected and left with a bleeding head wound when a sedan driver turned right into him. Police recorded improper passing or lane use by the driver.

A driver in a 2004 Mercedes sedan traveling on Everett Avenue near Aster Court hit a 14-year-old boy riding an e-scooter at 7:35 p.m. in Brooklyn. According to the police report, police recorded unsafe speed as a contributing factor. The boy, who was riding in the roadway, suffered crush injuries to his knee, lower leg, and foot and was listed as injured and conscious at the scene.

A driver going straight on the Belt Parkway hit a slowing SUV late Friday night, injuring a 16-year-old in the back seat and a 54-year-old front passenger. Another eastbound driver then crashed into the first car.
According to the police report, a driver going straight east on the Belt Parkway hit the back of a slowing eastbound SUV, injuring a 16-year-old rear passenger and a 54-year-old front passenger in the SUV. A second eastbound driver then hit the first car. Police listed obstruction or debris as a factor for everyone involved.
