   A driver in a Ford SUV ignored the signal at Pitkin and Mother Gaston and hit a woman in the intersection. She suffered crush injuries and died there in the cold Brooklyn morning.
   According to the police report, a driver in a Ford SUV heading west on Pitkin Avenue disregarded a traffic control at Mother Gaston Boulevard and hit a female pedestrian in the intersection. Police recorded the pedestrian crossing against the signal. She sustained crush injuries to her head and was pronounced dead. The crash occurred on a below-freezing Friday morning in Brownsville.

   According to the police report, a 53-year-old man driving an SUV made a left turn and hit a sedan that a 34-year-old woman was driving, near 238 Junius Street in Brooklyn. Police recorded driver inattention/distraction. The sedan driver and the SUV driver were injured, along with a 52-year-old front-seat passenger and an 86-year-old rear-seat passenger in the SUV.

   On Rockaway Ave at Lott Ave, police say driver inexperience and failure to yield led to a crash that injured three child passengers — ages 2, 10, and 14 — including whiplash and facial bleeding.
   According to the police report, two drivers going straight on Rockaway Avenue at Lott Avenue crashed around 2:12 p.m. on March 20, 2026. Police recorded driver inexperience and failure to yield right-of-way as contributing factors. Three passengers were reported injured: a 2-year-old with whiplash and neck injury, a 10-year-old with eye pain and nausea, and a 14-year-old with facial injury and minor bleeding.
