   A carriage-horse driver stepped away to take photos before a startled horse bolted in Central Park, sources said, throwing Romanch Mahajan, who died.
   In Central Park on Wednesday afternoon, a carriage-horse driver stepped away near 71st Street and Centre Drive to take a photo of passengers, according to the New York Post, citing police, sources and the Transit Workers Union. Sources said the horse became startled and bolted. Romanch Mahajan, a teenage tourist from India riding as a passenger, was thrown from the carriage, hit his head and was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he died. The union said the wheel of another carriage was hit during the sequence and the first carriage toppled. Two other passengers reported no injuries. The operator later caught the horse farther south near Tavern on the Green, and police and the union said the 7-year-old horse, Sampson, appeared stable and uninjured. A TWU Local 100 official called the driver's decision to leave the carriage for photos unacceptable and supported a full inquiry.

   An unlicensed 66-year-old driver lost control in the rain on Central Park W at W 108th St and overturned. Police recorded slippery pavement; the driver was injured and listed as unconscious and ejected.

The driver was listed as injured, unconscious, and ejected. The crash happened after dark in rainy conditions.

   A driver making a right turn hit a 38-year-old bicyclist near Central Park’s Heckscher Fields. Police recorded improper turning and following too closely; the cyclist suffered an elbow/arm abrasion and was ejected.
   According to the police report, the crash happened Monday afternoon near 1 Central Park Heckscher Flds in Manhattan. Police say a 46-year-old driver making a right turn hit a 38-year-old bicyclist who was going straight. The bicyclist was ejected and reported an abrasion to the elbow/lower arm/hand. Police recorded turning improperly and following too closely.

   A driver making a U-turn hit a 70-year-old cyclist on Central Park W at W 63rd St. Police recorded driver inattention.
   According to the police report, a 37-year-old driver in a 2018 Toyota Camry was making a U-turn on Central Park W at W 63rd Street around 10:10 a.m. when he hit a 70-year-old bicyclist who was going straight. Police recorded driver inattention/distraction. The cyclist was injured, with minor bleeding and an elbow/lower-arm/hand injury.
