A 71-year-old driver going north on Woodhaven Blvd hit a parked sedan by 97th Avenue and died from chest injuries.
According to the police report, a 71-year-old man driving north on Woodhaven Boulevard by 97th Avenue hit a parked sedan and sustained fatal chest injuries. A 30-year-old SUV driver failed to yield and hit a woman crossing with the signal on Lefferts Blvd at 101st Ave. She took a head injury and bled in the crosswalk while the driver’s 2024 SUV showed no damage.
According to the police report, a 30-year-old licensed driver in a 2024 Honda SUV turned left from Lefferts Boulevard at 101st Avenue around 7:23 p.m. and hit a 50-year-old woman who was crossing with the signal in the intersection. Police recorded failure to yield right of way by the driver. The pedestrian sustained a head injury with bleeding.

Three SUV drivers followed too closely on Jackie Robinson Parkway and set off a chain crash. Two drivers and three passengers were hurt, including people with head and chest injuries.
According to the police report, four eastbound drivers in a sedan and three SUVs crashed on Jackie Robinson Parkway on a Saturday morning. Police recorded following too closely and unsafe lane changing as contributing factors.
