   Two SUV drivers blew through Forest Hill Road at unsafe speed and smashed into each other. A 90-year-old passenger died, a 6-year-old girl was left unconscious with paralysis, and other occupants suffered crush injuries and pain.
   According to the police report, a southbound SUV driver on Forest Hill Road and a westbound SUV driver turning left from Rockland Avenue collided while police recorded unsafe speed and traffic control disregarded for both. A 90-year-old front-seat passenger was killed. A 6-year-old rear passenger was unconscious with paralysis.    Police recorded unsafe speed after a driver on the Staten Island Expressway hit a tractor-trailer. The sedan’s driver was trapped and reported a concussion and neck injury.
   According to the police report, at 4:46 a.m. on Feb. 27, 2026, a driver traveling east on the Staten Island Expressway hit a tractor-truck diesel that was also going straight east. Police recorded unsafe speed as a contributing factor. The sedan’s driver, a 32-year-old man, was trapped and reported a concussion and a neck injury.    A driver making a left turn on Hylan Boulevard failed to yield and hit a 32-year-old pedestrian crossing with the signal. She suffered a leg fracture and dislocation.
   According to the police report, a 47-year-old driver in an SUV was making a left turn at Hylan Boulevard and Ross Avenue on Feb. 18, 2026 at 8:45 a.m. and hit a 32-year-old woman who was crossing with the signal at the intersection. Police recorded failure to yield right-of-way and driver inattention/distraction. The pedestrian suffered a knee/lower-leg/foot fracture and dislocation.

   RICHMOND RD
   A driver making a left turn hit a driver going straight on Richmond Rd at Kensico St. Two drivers were hurt, including one with a fracture and dislocation.
   According to the police report, a 2025 Mercedes SUV driver making a left turn collided with a 2019 Jeep SUV driver going straight on Richmond Rd at Kensico St in Staten Island on Jan. 27 at 6:05 p.m. Police recorded slippery pavement and tire failure/inadequate tires as contributing factors. Both drivers were listed as injured, including a fracture/distortion/dislocation and pain or nausea.
