   A motorcyclist hit and killed an elderly woman in a marked crosswalk at East 225th Street and White Plains Road, then rode away, police said.
   Police said an elderly woman was crossing East 225th Street and White Plains Road in Wakefield in a marked crosswalk when a motorcyclist hit her shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Monday. EMS took her to Jacobi Hospital, where she died. Police said the motorcyclist left the scene, riding eastbound on East 225th Street.

   On Boston Road near E 211th Street, a driver turning left failed to yield and hit a 28-year-old motorcyclist. The rider was ejected and killed.
   According to the police report, at about 9:12 p.m. on April 9, 2026, on Boston Road near E 211th Street in the Bronx, a driver making a left turn hit a motorcyclist who was going straight. Police recorded turning improperly and failure to yield right-of-way. The motorcycle rider, a 28-year-old man, was ejected and killed.

   A 24-year-old driver lost control of a Toyota Highlander near East 233rd Street and Provost Avenue; official crash records list unsafe speed, and passenger Mohamed Salim, 44, died.
   Around 10:30 p.m. on March 13, 2026, a 24-year-old driver was going west on East 233rd Street near Provost Avenue in Baychester in a Toyota SUV with two passengers. Police told the Daily News the driver lost control and rear-ended a parked backhoe; official crash records list unsafe speed as a contributing factor. Mohamed Salim, 44, was riding in the front passenger seat and died after being taken to Jacobi Hospital, while the driver and a rear-seat passenger were injured. Salim’s family said the backhoe had been left there for weeks and argued that its placement also contributed to the crash.

   A sedan driver making a left turn failed to yield and hit a MOPD rider on White Plains Road at E 217th Street. The MOPD rider and a rear passenger were injured; the sedan driver was ejected and hurt.
   According to the police report, a sedan driver making a left turn on White Plains Road at E 217th Street collided with a MOPD as the MOPD rider went straight. Police recorded failure to yield right-of-way. The sedan driver was injured and ejected; the MOPD rider was injured. A rear-seat passenger in the sedan reported internal injury and pain in an elbow/arm/hand.

   According to the police report, a driver hit a 32-year-old man riding an e-scooter near 3812 White Plains Road in the Bronx around 5:55 p.m. on May 18, 2026. Police recorded driver inattention/distraction. The rider was ejected and suffered a face injury with a fracture, distortion, or dislocation. Another occupant was listed; the report does not describe their injuries.
