   Police recorded driver inattention as a driver hit a 40-year-old cyclist at Rockaway Parkway and Avenue K. The rider suffered a head injury and minor bleeding.
   According to the police report, a 36-year-old sedan driver was going straight on Rockaway Parkway at Avenue K when a crash occurred with a bicycle whose rider was making a U-turn.    Just after midnight on Flatlands Avenue, a driver making a right turn hit another SUV. Four people were hurt, including a rear-seat passenger with a knee/leg/foot injury.
   According to the police report, at 12:17 a.m. on May 19, 2026, on Flatlands Avenue in Brooklyn, the driver of a 2025 Acura RDX making a right turn hit a 2017 Mercedes GLS 450 that was going straight. Police listed five occupants total. Four occupants were reported injured, including the Acura’s driver (head injury with whiplash) and a right-rear passenger with a knee/lower-leg/foot injury.

   A driver making a left turn hit a sedan driver on Avenue K at E 85th Street. The 44-year-old driver reported internal back injuries.
   According to the police report, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday on Avenue K at E 85th Street in Brooklyn, a 44-year-old man driving a sedan was injured when a driver in a station wagon/SUV was making a left turn and hit him. The injured driver’s bodily injury was listed as back, with an internal complaint. Other occupants were listed; the report does not describe their injuries.

   A driver changed lanes on E 98th Street at Avenue L and hit a 23-year-old cyclist. The rider was ejected and suffered severe leg lacerations.

Police recorded unsafe lane changing as a contributing factor. The cyclist was ejected and reported severe lacerations to the knee/lower leg/foot.    A driver making a left turn hit another sedan at Glenwood Road. A 41-year-old driver and her 31-year-old front passenger both suffered concussions.
   According to the police report, a 41-year-old driver making a left turn at 10717 Glenwood Road hit a sedan driven by a 40-year-old man who was going straight ahead around 1:15 p.m. In the turning car, the 41-year-old driver and her 31-year-old front passenger were reported injured with concussions. The other driver was reported injured in the elbow/lower arm/hand.
