   Police said a man riding a motorcycle spun out on the Grand Central Parkway, and he and a female passenger died after a rush-hour crash.
   Police said a man operating a CFMoto 650 motorcycle was eastbound on the Grand Central Parkway approaching the Jackie Robinson Parkway at about 6:30 p.m. when he spun out and hit a BMW driven by a 28-year-old woman, then was involved in another impact with a Ford Explorer driven by a 39-year-old man. Both people on the motorcycle were thrown to the pavement. The driver died at the scene from severe head trauma, and the passenger died after being taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. Police said the riderless motorcycle was later involved in impacts with a Chevrolet Express van and a Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Five people in the other vehicles were evaluated by EMS, three were hospitalized with minor injuries, and police reported no arrests.

   Police said a 13-year-old scooter rider swerved near an opening car door in Flushing, leading to a crash that killed 13-year-old passenger Christopher Cabrera.
   Two 13-year-old boys were riding a motorized scooter or moped on 162nd Street in Flushing on June 29, 2026, when police said the teen operating it tried to avoid a driver-side door being opened from a parked vehicle. The rider lost control and came into conflict with a truck traveling in the same direction. Christopher Cabrera, 13, of College Point, was riding as a passenger; police said he fell and made contact with a rear wheel, and he died at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. The other teen was hospitalized. Reports citing police agree that the drivers of the truck and parked vehicle remained at the scene and that no arrests had been made, but they differ on the exact time, travel direction, nearby avenue, and the other teen’s condition.

   A 23-year-old Ford F-150 driver turned right in Flushing and killed bicyclist Xi Zheng, 48; police later charged the driver, Quinn Daly, with failure to yield.
   Official crash records list a pickup driver making a right turn just after 10 a.m. on Jan. 20, 2026, at Sanford Avenue and 160th Street in Queens, while a bicyclist was going straight west. Police accounts reported by the Daily News and qns.com said Quinn Daly, 23, was driving a Ford F-150 and turning right from 160th Street onto Sanford Avenue when he hit Xi Zheng, 48. Zheng was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital and died; official crash records list him as the only person killed. In May, the Daily News reported that police arrested Daly and charged him with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
