How were these numbers calculated?

We analyzed NYC’s Motor Vehicle Collisions datasets (Crashes h9gi-nx95, Persons f55k-p6yu, Vehicles bm4k-52h4) for Senate District 23 from 2022-01-01 to 2025-09-20. We filtered by the district’s geography as defined in our site’s SD 23 boundary and counted totals for crashes, injuries, serious injuries, and deaths. Data were accessed on Sep 19–20, 2025. You can view the base crash dataset [here](https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Public-Safety/Motor-Vehicle-Collisions-Crashes/h9gi-nx95).
